You have a big app idea. You have worked on it. You have hired mobile app developer to develop your app & your dream (app) is almost ready but the last night, your light bulb went on. ‘Eureka!’ You have got an idea about a new feature or new functionality that will make your app a massive hit. So now you call your developer to add that feature or functionality in your app. He says that You have to expand your time & budget in order to add that.
You say,”Go for it”.
Few weeks later, your app has that new killer feature or functionality but one night, your light bulb again went on & you have another killer feature or functionality for your app.

If that’s your story then It’s Time To Stop. Here are 3 Reasons to stop postponing your app launch :
1. You Are Diluting App’s Quality
Your app is a solution to the problem that you are trying to solve. By expanding your time & budget, you are making your app more & more complex. Power of simplicity can not be underestimated.
“The greatest ideas are the simplest.”

2. You Are Missing Timing
Your app idea is not your exclusive property. You cannot prevent someone from making app similar to your app idea. So if you are not quick enough then your market will be taken.
I am a big fan of Seth Godin. In his “Unleashing The Ideavirus”, he emphasized on filling vacuum quickly. So if you not quick enough filling vacuum in your target market then it is very hard for you to sustain & dominate.

If you are postponing your app’s launch for making it perfect. I bet you. It will never be perfect.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

3. Your Are Making Your App Rigid
Having everything in your app will make it hard to change. Not convinced?
Just try to remove a useless feature from app & see how your users react to it. If you are having scope for flexibility in your app then you can inject features later on according to the real user’s need. So don’t make your app rigid.
“Change is the only constant in life.”
– Heraclitus
