Less is more.
– Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
It sounds like a philosophical quote but it is the mantra to build a successful mobile app.
The more massive an object, the more energy is required to change its direction. This physics principle also applies to the mobile app business.
I have seen many people with app ideas doing exact the opposite. They insist to make their app more & more rigid by stuffing more features in their app, it eventually make harder for them to change when needed.
“Change is the only constant in life.”
– Heraclitus
Flexibility & Adaptability is your key especially in app business where you’re bound to change & update your mobile app in few months.
The mantra is not just about the app, it is also applied to the processes & your overall approach while building mobile app.
If you’re exceeding your predefined timeline more than once then i bet, you’re trying to doing too many things all at once. The successful apps that you’re watching are not their version #1.
“Don’t compare your Chapter 1 to someone else’s Chapter 20”
So the next time, when you feel to add some new feature in your mobile app. Step back. Ask yourself, “Is it really needed now?”
To summarize, Remember that Less is more. So go for small team, less features, less code, less meetings, less app development time.
